Stroll through the Depot Way
Arts Park
Sculptures
crafted by local artisans enhance a brick path that winds its way amongst berms, flower gardens and shade trees in downtown Farmington, close to the
railroad tracks. The Depot Way Arts Park
is a place for inspiration and relaxation.
Art work was donated by
the Dakota Valley Arts Council to the City on August 1, 2005.

Sculptures in the Arts Park:
- Adirondack Chairs by Joel Sisson--their
dramatic size gets attention and the artist grew up in Farmington
- Eliptical Form by William Saltzman
- Blue Horse by Marcia McEachron
- Hexicolor by high school art students
- Snowflake, Frog Pond and Wave Disk by Bruce Mainquist
- Two Metal and Tile Archways designed by Marcia McEachron and Pam Schoolmeester.
Under their guidance, community volunteers created 240 tiles that reflect
the nature and local history of the area
- Pergola designed by Marcia McEachron
and Pam Schoolmeester, and tiles crafted by
numerous volunteers.

Contest
The Dakota Valley Arts
Council Annual Art Show was developed to provide a forum for local artists to
compete and display their work. Works will be judged by a professional artist,
as well as with a “People’s Choice” Ballot. |

Interest and enthusiasm for this
cultural event has grown every year. This
is an opportunity for anyone attending Rambling River Days to be able to see
the amazing talent displayed by the Farmington
area artists and also to be able to purchase an original oil painting,
sculpture, pottery or other handcrafted item.
